Polish Interpretation

Hire a Polish Interpreters

Polish interpreters for depositions and hearings, for workers' compensation and injury claims, for workplace investigations across construction and the trades, and for hospital and clinic appointments. Polish work in our practice follows the trades, which means the vocabulary is tools, sites and job duties before it is anything else.

Why Kaplan

Polish Interpretation Matched to the Trade and the Setting

Construction, the Trades and Compensation Claims

Most Polish matters we staff come out of the trades: construction and site injuries, workers' compensation, wage-and-hour disputes, and the workplace investigations that follow. The vocabulary is scaffolding, machinery, shift patterns and job duties, and a loose rendering of a job duty changes what the claim is about. We ask for the site and the trade at intake and brief the interpreter on the terms before the session.

Chicago, New York and the Bench Behind Them

Polish is one of the languages where our bench matches the population rather than our office. Of roughly 68 Polish interpreters across the network, the largest groups sit in Illinois and New York, which is where the work is, so onsite coverage in Chicago and the New York metro is genuinely onsite rather than a video assignment described as coverage.

Registered, With the Status Stated Exactly

Polish is not one of California's twelve certified spoken languages, and the federal certification examination is offered for Spanish and English only. Polish interpreters credential through California's registered path or qualify federally as professionally qualified, and several states run their own court rosters. We name the exact credential rather than calling anyone court certified, and we send the packet to chambers in advance.

FAQs

Common Questions About Polish Interpretation

Are Polish interpreters court certified in California?

No. Polish is not one of the twelve certified spoken languages in California, which are Arabic, Cantonese, Eastern Armenian, Farsi, Filipino (Tagalog), Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese. Polish interpreters credential through the registered path, which requires the written exam, the oral proficiency exam in English and the oral proficiency exam in the target language where one is offered. Several states run their own court rosters separately. See our court-certified interpreters page for how certified and registered differ.

Is there a federal certification for Polish court interpreters?

There is not. The federal court interpreter certification examination is offered for Spanish and English testing only. For Polish the Administrative Office's category is professionally qualified, reached through a State Department or United Nations examination, a National Center for State Courts examination, or AIIC or TAALS membership with English in the pair. We name which of those a proposed interpreter has met rather than describing them as certified.

Do you cover Polish for workers' compensation and injury matters?

Yes, and it is the largest share of our Polish work. Construction and site injuries, workers' compensation hearings, wage-and-hour disputes and the independent medical examinations attached to them. Job duties, shift patterns and treatment dates are read back rather than paraphrased, because a summary of a job duty changes what the claim is about.

Can you interpret Polish for a workplace investigation?

Yes. Investigations, disciplinary meetings, safety and equipment training and onboarding across construction, manufacturing and the trades. The interpreter is briefed on the trade vocabulary and the policy language beforehand rather than improvising it on site. See our HR interpreting page.

Where do you provide Polish interpreters?

Onsite strength is in Chicago and the New York metro, where most of our Polish bench sits, plus California, and by video remote nationwide. The bench runs to roughly 68 interpreters across the network. For a metro we cannot staff onsite we say so before you confirm rather than after.

Do you interpret Polish for hospital and clinic appointments?

Yes. Hospital consultations, specialist clinics, independent medical examinations and behavioural health sessions, often attached to an injury or compensation claim. The interpreter is briefed on the clinical vocabulary and on the consent and discharge conversation beforehand. See our medical interpreters page.

Do you handle Polish for family and probate matters?

Yes. Probate with heirs in Poland, property and succession questions, and family proceedings come up regularly. These carry civil-law vocabulary that has no clean English equivalent, so we settle the terminology from the exhibits before the session rather than during it.

Can you translate Polish documents as well?

Yes, as separate written work from the interpreter. Our certified document translation covers civil records, medical records, contracts, handbooks and exhibits, with certificates of accuracy accepted by courts and agencies. For court filings see certified legal translation.
